Himawari Onsen Yurara, located in Nakayama Town in the center of Yamagata Prefecture, is a public inn with hot springs of good water qualities.

The area around Yurara is equipped with sports and recreational facilities, making it a large resort where you can enjoy scenic spots and historic sites.

It can also be used as a day-trip hot spring, so you can casually stop by during your trip.

The open-air bath, which was newly established in 2019, is designed without a roof to create a sense of openness, allowing you to enjoy the scenery while relaxing in the hot spring.

It is a facility where you can enjoy the expressions of the trees in each season, the distant view of Mt. Gassan, Mt. Hayama and the Aterazawa line’s wrought iron bridge.
