Kamo Aquarium

The Kamo Aquarium in Tsuruoka City is famous for its jellyfish exhibition.

There are more than 50 species types on display, an achievement recognized as a Guinness World Record in 2012.

In addition, approximately 140 types of fish that live off the Shonai region are displayed here too, and sea lion shows and black-tailed gull feeding shows.

* There is no direct public transportation from Shonai Airport to the aquarium.
* When using the bus, you need to transfer once at Tsuruoka Station.

* Please be careful as the bus bound for Yunohama Onsen (via Zenpoji) will not stop at the aquarium. 
* It might take longer depending on traffic.
