The Roadside Station Gassan with various facilities spread over a vast site.

There is a bouldering space, the Gassan Asahi Museum Village with information on the former Asahi Village (now the Asahi district of Tsuruoka City), fast food corners, a soba shop and a souvenir shop which sells local soba flour and Gassan wine, characteristic for being made with local mountain grapes.
In addition, the view from the Nabira Snow Suspension Bridge over the Bonji River Valley is spectacular, especially during the fall foliage season.
