Tsuruoka Park

  • img

It is a park built in 1875 on the site of the former Tsuruga Castle. There are a moat, stone walls, and a hundred years old cedar.

It is also the stage for Shuhei Fujisawa’s book “Unasaka-han.”

It has been selected as one of Japan’s 100 best cherry blossom spots. There are about 730 cherry trees, including Yoshino cherry trees, double-flowered cherry trees and weeping cherry trees.
