Yamagata Cherry Land is an orchard for cherry picking in Kaminoyama City
There are many varieties developed at the farm, and it is also characterized by being able to taste rare cherries.
The cherry season is surprisingly short, but there are many varieties, so you can enjoy cherry-picking for a long time.

Types of cherries
[Beni Sayaka] The darker the color, the better. Only for jam. Ripe.

[Shoka-no-Kaori] The skin is soft and ready to eat before Sato Nishiki cherries. Recommended variety for farm development.

[Hime-Nishiki] There is a white line on the fruit. This is also an original variety and can only be eaten here.

[France One] The color is black, but the taste is pure Japanese style. Because the fruit is soft, it cannot be shipped.

[Sato Nishiki] Not all of them are ripe from the beginning. It varies from tree to tree and even within the same tree.

 [Yamagata Bijin] The color is reddish black, but the fruit is hard and has a very long shelf life. Harvested in late June to early July. Although it is not well known, it has a strong and sour taste and is delicious.

[Taisho Nishiki] Variety developed at this farm. The harvest season is from early to mid-July, and is characterized by its large size and low acidity.

COVID-19 measures for cherry-picking

・Implementation of thermal camera temperature measurement at reception
・Disinfection at entrances and toilets
・Wearing a mask at reception
・Disposable vinyl gloves are always available, so please use them.
・Please keep an appropriate distance in the orchard
・Please touch only the cherries that you are going to eat.
・Put the pits in the bag after eating.
・Explanation of cherry-picking will be done in writing as much as possible.
・Please keep your luggage to a minimum when entering the orchard

[2021 cherry-picking]

・No reservation required
・Reception hours from 8:00 to 16:00
・Before June 12th, only open in the morning
・Same price as adult from junior high school students, child price for children over 3 years old and under school age, free for children under 3 years old
・Please consider the date as an indication only as the start of the cherry picking season will depend on the weather.
・Staff will guide you to the orchard every 10 to 15 minutes, so please gather in front of the shop when the time comes.
・Please refrain from bringing bags and pouches into the orchard. If you do not cooperate, we will refuse admission.
・If you enter the orchard, you will be charged an entrance fee regardless of whether you eat cherries or not.

Remarks

① Original regular course
Enjoy the variety that varies depending on the season. Although it is a regular course, you can enjoy cherry-picking that can only be done at our park.

Fee: 2,000 yen for junior high school students and older, 1,000 yen for elementary school students, 500 yen for children from 3 years old to preschoolers (tax included)
●Period: From around June 8 to around July 5, but it varies depending on the year.
●Varieties: Beni Sayaka, Sato Nishiki cherries, the variety you can eat varies depending on the season.
●Time: 40 minutes

➂ Special special course
We will introduce you to a special delicious tree at that time. Some days it may not be available. In recent years, there are many days off. The regular course is sufficient for customers who have a discerning eye, as it is made in the same field for gift-giving and pick-up.

Fee: 2,500 yen for junior high school students and older, 1,000 yen for elementary school students, 800 yen for children from 3 years old to preschoolers (tax included)
●Period: Undecided, but likely from around June 23 to around June 30.
●Varieties: Same as regular course. Please note that Taisho Nishiki and Nanyo are not included.
●Time: 30 minutes

⑤The king of cherries… Taisho Nishiki course
Once you try this large, sweet cherry developed by the orchard, you won’t be able to eat anything else! A lot of voices! ! Most of the repeaters.

●Fee: 3,000 yen for junior high school students and older, 1,000 yen for elementary school students, 800 yen for children aged 3 and older (tax included)
●Period: Starting July 1
●Varieties: Taisho Nishiki and Sato Nishiki, but please note that the Sato Nishiki cherries will no longer be available later in season
●Time: 30 minutes

⑥ Ultimate! Nanyo/Taisho Nishiki Course
Nanyo Course with a few strong requests. Nanyo charries are large and have a nice appearance, with a light yet elegant sweetness. If the season is right, yellow Gassan Nishiki is also possible.
Harvest time is short, and there are years when they are not available. There are no guarantees, so please inquire by phone before coming.

●Period: Around early July
●Time: 40 minutes
