Some of the activities are being cancelled: Fish Catching Festival & Mogami River Sky Tour

At the Oe Summer Festival, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, various events will be held from August 10 (Wed.) to August 15 (Mon.), the day of the fireworks display.

Andon Festival, Green Bamboo Lantern Festival, Morning Market, Fish Catching Festival, Air Balloon Cruise, and Mogami River Sky Tour will be held on August 14 (Sun.) and 15 (Mon.).

On the day of the fireworks display, in addition to the station square market and the Suigo Summer Festival at the Fureai Kaikan, there will also be an annual stall market, and as an opening event before the fireworks, FM Yamagata’s public live broadcast and secret guest music will also be held.

The Townspeople Fireworks Display will be launched for the first time in three years from four locations in the town.

The event will be held in a different form than usual, with no stalls set up in the Honmachi and Yokkamachi districts, and no mikoshi parade.

In addition, there will be no viewing box seats, parking lot, or temporary toilets, so please enjoy yourself while taking measures against infection.

・ Akagawa Fireworks Presents 2022 Smile & Peace

The attraction of the Akagawa Fireworks Festival is that it is one of the top 5 large-scale fireworks festivals in Japan.

The Mamurogawa Festival will be held for the first time in three years.

The Mamurogawa Ondo parade will go through the town with live performances of the Mamurogawa Ondo, and the majestic portable shrine parade at Yamagami Shrine.
Concerts by elementary and junior high school students will add to the excitement of the festival.

The finale of the festival is the fireworks display.

There will be no reserved seat system this year, so please enjoy yourselves while taking measures against COVID-19.
