Yamagata City Sports Center is a comprehensive sports facility such as indoor facilities (gymnasium, martial arts hall, archery hall, training room, meeting room, training camp, etc.) and outdoor facilities (skating rink, pool, tennis court, etc.). It opened in April of 1989.

The outdoor skating rink is 400m-long per lap and can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.
