Zao Brewery & Clang Dining is located right next to Zao’s red Otorii gate.

Each of the four unique craft beers has a rich flavor packed with the charm of Zao and Yamagata.

SNOW MONSTER, the most popular beer, is Japan’s first white craft beer with the image of the rime-covered trees.

The adjoining Clang Dining offers a menu that goes well with beer, such as the popular Neapolitan pizza, Zao beef roast, and Zao cheese platter.

Beer can be bought to be drank at home or offered as a gift.

Be sure to try Zao’s attractive craft beer.

Terrace usage fee (tax included)
- 2 hours: 2,200 yen (440 yen per person)
- 4 hours: 4,000 yen (800 yen per person)
- 1 hour extension: 1,100 yen (220 yen per person)

● Terrace usage fee includes rental of BBQ stove, gas, table, chairs, tongs, and garbage bags.
● For both plans, we may not be able to accept orders for take-out food depending on how busy the restaurant is. Feel free to bring your own food and drinks.
● Both plans can be extended up to 1 hour.
● The rooftop terrace is available from 11:00 to 16:30.
