Mt. Gassan Ski Resort finally opened on April 10 this year!

The slopes are usually open until July and can be enjoyed in the warm climate unique to summer skiing.

Enjoy the beautiful contrast of the exhilarating blue sky, fresh greenery, and pure white snow, which is different from skiing in the middle of winter.

[Important information]
Due to the accident that occurred in Mt. Gassan ski resort Slopes on April 11 (Mon.), the lift operation will be suspended until April 14 (Thu.).

From Yamagata Expressway & Gassan IC, take National Highway 112 toward Yamagata & Sagae, turn left 1km and go to the site in about 20 minutes.

[Parking fees]
* For Mt. Gassan’s environmental beautification activities, a cooperation fee of 500 yen is asked per vehicle.
* From June 17 (Fri.) to October 16. (Sun.), the fee is 200 yen per person.

◆ About suspension of lift
From June 14 (Tue.) to 16 (Thu.), operations will be suspended due to maintenance and inspection of the lift before the transition to the green season.
The lift round-trip rides are scheduled to start on June 17 (Fri.).

Remarks

As the summer progresses, the gliding area will shrink from May to July.

Especially for the large slope course, it will become more difficult for beginners because of the bumps, so please check the slopes situation on the day before you come.
