There are 11 beaches in the Shonai area of Yamagata Prefecture, but only seven will be opened this year.
Please check the table below for details, as the opening period and equipment vary depending on the location.

This year beaches will be opened while taking measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Enjoy summer while being careful about your health and safety! !!

Fresh water springs from the sandy beach, a rarity in the world.

Groundwater flowing from Mt. Chokai is springing up, and the iron sand discharged together creates a strange pattern on the beach.
