Kawaraya is located next to the public bath Kawarayu at the back of the road next to Takayu-dori street.
Originally it was a historic hot spring inn called Kawaharaya Ryokan but it was renewed in 2011. It is now a facility for day trip baths.
It is a hot spring facility with the characteristic of being called the “ultimate hot spring,” which is rare in Japan, and has gained tremendous support from hot spring enthusiasts.
