Shirahige Shrine is located in a thick cedar forest in Jimbodo in the Namerikawa area.

It has been revered as a village shrine since ancient times, but the enshrined deity is not clearly known.

It is said that when a flood occurred long ago, an old man with gray hair rode the white waves of the raging stream and appeared suddenly to save the people from the flood. The shrine enshrines this rare white-haired deity.
