Momijigawa River Valley has very interesting trekking routes, with thrilling suspension bridges and waterfalls of various sizes.

It is about 2 km away from the Omoshiroyama Kogen Station located on the JR Senzan Line one stop after the Yamadera Station on the way to Sendai from Yamagata.
Athletic shoes and easy-to-move clothes are recommended as you will be crossing thrilling narrow roads and bridges on the way.

It is a 5-minute walk from Omoshiroyama Kogen Station to the entrance of the valley trail, and you can go all the way to Yamadera to head for Yamagata or Sendai on the JR Senzan Line from the station there.
