Cherry trees line up on both sides of the road to create a tunnel of cherry blossoms.

It is recommended to not only walk but also drive through the arches of cherry blossoms.

In a section of 830m going downstream from the Atago bridge on the riverside of the Mamigasaki river toward the Atago Kindergarten there are 83 cherry trees lit up from the beginning of their blooming.

Various stalls line up in front of the Java pool during the light-up period.

You can also enjoy the delicious food from the stalls while watching the cherry blossoms on the opposite bank.

Access: [By car] 2.5km from Yamagata Expressway [Yamagata Zao IC] (parking available)
[By train] Get off [Yamagata Station] → take a bus or taxi
[By bus] From Yamagata Station, take the Yamako Line Bus bound for [Takarazawa & Sekizawa] and get off at [Java Entrance]
Parking lot: If you come by car, please use the Yamagata Civic Pool Java's first parking lot and second parking lot (approximately 340 cars). There is plenty of parking space in the second parking lot in the back.
