We will deliver ski resort information for 2020-2021.

There are many ski resorts in Yamagata Prefecture, and there are slopes that are available on various levels, so you can enjoy skiing safely.
There are also plenty of ski and snowboard rentals, so it’s also attractive to be able to go empty-handed.

1. Zao Onsen Ski Resort (Yamagata City)

The charm of Zao Onsen Ski Resort is that you can enjoy a variety of courses such as a course that glides through the beautiful snow monsters area, the Yokokura wall with an inclination of 38 degrees, the snow quality of powder snow, and a vast and beautiful scenery.

It is also nice to have many courses that you can enjoy at your own level, from beginners to advanced students.

2. Zao Liza World (Kaminoyama City)

Zao Liza World’s charm is its vast 570m-wide slope and varied courses that can be enjoyed from beginner to advanced.

At the arrival point of the pair lift (LIZA PAIR II) (altitude 1,446m), you can enjoy powder snow in the snow monsters area.

There is also a tube slider popular with children (from mid-January) and a kids’ area where you can enjoy sledging, so even small children can enjoy it with peace of mind.

At Liza Restaurant, you can enjoy authentic pizza baked in a stone kiln, as well as free Wi-Fi.

The shuttle bus “White Echo” connects Kaminoyama City and the ski resort, running every day of the season.

3. ZAO Sarukura Ski Resort (Kaminoyama City)

The biggest feature of ZAO Sarukura Ski Resort is the slopes dedicated to skiing with no snowboarders!
Small children to advanced skiers can enjoy the slopes with peace of mind.

Private night skiing is also available, and it is popular as a private slope for children’s associations and circles.

The rest house offers a wide selection of dishes, including the popular authentic jingisukan bbq.

The shuttle bus “White Echo” connects Kaminoyama City and the ski resort, running every day of the season.

It is a recommended ski resort for beginners and families when skiing and snowboarding.

5. Kurobushi Kogen Snow Park Jangle Jungle (Higashine City)

Wild and big, this 34ha ski area features a variety of amenities.

6. Asahi Nature Snow Park (Asahi Town)

Asahi Nature Park is surrounded by rich nature, with beautiful locations, fluffy powder snow, 5 slopes for beginners and advanced skiers, and steep slopes with a maximum inclination of 34 degrees.

It is also a nice place to stay in an adjoining hotel or cottage and enjoy it thoroughly.

7. Shinjo Citizen Ski Resort (Shinjo City)

The biggest attraction of Shinjo Citizen Ski Resort is that the daily lift fee is cheap, and you can enjoy it with a one-day ticket from 9:00 to 21:00.

Many ski areas offer separate rates for daytime and nighttime, so it’s a great deal.

One of the attractions is the good view.
On a clear day, you can see famous peaks of Yamagata prefecture including Mt. Chokai and Mt. Gassan

9. Tengendai Kogen (Yonezawa City)

Yudonosan Ski Resort is the largest ski resort in the Shonai region.

There are 4 courses according to ability, from the “Advanced Course” with a total length of 300 meters and a maximum inclination of 35 degrees to the gentle “Forest Course” with a total length of 2,000 meters.

12. Kushibiki Taranokidai Ski Resort (Tsuruoka City)

It is a ski resort near Tsuruoka city that you can easily visit.
