1. What is Ofuro Café Yusa?

Ofuro Café Yusa opened within Yu-yu no Sato Yusa with the concept of “orchard x craft x café.”

The open interior is lined with over 8,000 magazines, comics, and books, as well as a sauna garden, restaurant, kids’ space, and more, making it a spot that you can’t possibly enjoy all in one day!

The project is being undertaken by the Koyo Group, which has attracted attention for its long-established inn Koyo, Yamagata Purin, and Yamagata Prefecture’s first dome-shaped Glamping (glamorous camping) Facility, yamagata glam.

This time, we visited on a weekday afternoon, two months after the facility opened, and we were surprised to see that even the second parking lot was full, showing just how popular it is!

Enter through the noren curtain decorated with a cute logo motif!

2. Complete the procedure at the reception

The first thing that catches your eye is this view!

Even from this position, the bookshelf has a great presence… lol

Trying to control my excitement, I first head to the front desk to check in.

After checking in, you can change into the hotel’s indoor clothing in the Changing Rooms on the second floor.

The pale colors with a fruit motif perfectly match the atmosphere inside the building.

Cute sizes for kids are also available.

Not only does it feel great to the touch, it’s also extremely comfortable to wear!

You’re sure to have a great time.

Souvenirs and sauna items are also sold near the reception desk, so be sure to check them out.

3. Lobby, coworking library

First off, here’s the symbol of Ofuro Café Yusa!

Wow, amazing…

When you see it up close, you’ll be overwhelmed by its size and power.

This bookshelf has already become a spectacular spot.

Other customers were busy taking photos too lol

There are some aspects that are hard to convey in photos, so be sure to come and see it in person!

There are also plenty of board games and card games available for people of all ages to enjoy.

Of course, you’re free to use it, so it’s sure to be a great time with your friends and family!

Behind the bookshelf is a coworking library.

There are also electrical outlets available, so you can work on your computer or lounge on the sofa and play with your smartphone.

There are desks and chairs in the coworking space, but there are so many distractions that I wonder if I’ll actually be able to work…

4. 2nd Floor Lounge

The second floor (from the front) features a fireplace lounge, fruit sofas, a human shelf, a kids’ space, and other charming features that are different from the first floor.

① Fireplace Lounge

Many of the photos shown here were taken before the opening, but at the time of our visit many people were relaxing in the fireplace lounge.

Isn’t it fun to just stare at a fire in the fireplace?

After some research, I found out that the flickering of a fire has a relaxing effect.

It is also exquisite to spend time daydreaming and gazing at the flickering fire.

It doesn’t get hot to the touch, so it’s safe for kids.

There were also many books lined up on the second floor, mainly comics!

Ah, so many intriguing titles.

After all, one day is not enough… lol

② Fruit sofa

As the name suggests, it is a colorful sofa with a fruit motif!

The cute design makes it a popular spot for kids to simply slip into and relax, and it’s also a popular spot for kids to take a nap after they’ve finished playing.

③ Boxed Shelf

What personally caught my attention was this boxed shelf.

Bring a book and enjoy your time alone without worrying about the eyes of others.

The closet-like atmosphere and size of this place are irresistible!

Be careful, you might get so comfortable you won’t want to leave.

5. Kids Space

The spacious kids’ space is also one of the attractions of Ofuro Café Yusa.

There was a large space where children could have fun, with a ball pool, wooden toys, picture books, and more.

Another nice feature is that you can see all the way from the fruit sofa introduced earlier to the kids’ space in the back.

I’m glad to see such attention to detail.

6. Sauna Garden

Return to the first floor and head to the sauna garden at the back of the restaurant.

Enter by holding the wristband given to you at reception.

① Sauna Lounge

A lounge you can use after the sauna.

Relaxing music was playing and the people enjoying the ultimate “totonoi” massage looked really comfortable!

If I could do the interview, I would have wanted to “get in shape” too!!!

② Sauna Garden

This sauna garden spreads out at the back of the lounge!

There are three types of chairs available, and after the sauna and shower everyone seems to be enjoying their own way of relaxing here too.

You cannot use the jacuzzi wearing the hotel’s indoor clothing, so if you want to use it, please bring a swimsuit or something similar.

Even so, it looks really comfortable…

It was a sight that somehow made me happy.

3) Loyly sauna

Ofuro Café Yusa offers a special loyly sauna here!

Another great thing about the sauna garden is that it can be enjoyed by both men and women.

You can enter wearing the hotel’s indoor clothing, or bring your swimsuit and T-shirt.

Of course, each item is available for rental or purchase at the front desk, so why not come and work up a sweat and get in the zone?

It seems like it can be used in a variety of situations, including by yourself, with family or friends, etc.

The floor will change, but you can enjoy not only the sauna but also the open-air bath, so if you’re interested, please come and try it out.

7. Café Restaurant

After satisfying your mind with some relaxing and sauna time, it’s time to fill your stomach with something to munch on!

Ofuro Café Yusa also has a café restaurant with an extensive menu!

I really can stay in it all day.

This was also a spacious and open space.

The woodgrain is also soothing.

There are also private rooms available, so you can enjoy a leisurely meal with your family and friends.

We have a wide variety of kids chairs!

Even those with small children can feel free to use the facility.

Orders are placed via tablets at each seat.

You pay when you get home, so you can order by just holding up your wristband.

③ Popular Menu

The plates and grilled curry are popular, so from the three types of plates available, I ordered the hamburger steak plate.

Amazingly, it looks just like the photo!

The actual product is even more colorful than in the photo, and the aroma is sure to whet your appetite!

The La France shaped mashed potatoes are also adorable.

The hamburger steak topped with rich demi-glace sauce was delicious and could be enjoyed by people of all ages, from adults to children.

8. MOGY

For an after-meal dessert or to relax in the building, we recommend the fruit ice cream specialty shop MOGY.

Based on the concept of “snow-covered orchard,” you can enjoy ice cream made with seasonal fruits.

They use carefully selected ingredients from Japan and around the world, starting with fruits from Yamagata, the fruit kingdom.

Try finding your favorite combination of flavor and fruit sauce.

“Snow White Milk” is a classic product that uses YAMABE MILK produced in Yamagata Prefecture and offers a rich milky taste.

It’s rich yet refreshing, so it pairs perfectly with the optional fruit sauce!

You can enjoy the most delicious moment for ice cream and fruit.

Freshly made fruit ice cream melts easily, so it’s only available for 10 minutes.
