1. Itsumo-no-Tokoro Nanokamachi branch

Gotenzeki is one of the five former weir (irrigation canals) areas in Yamagata City.
It was used to carry agricultural and domestic-use water for over 400 years, and part of Gotenzeki also flowed to the moat of the Yamagata Castle.

The area was redeveloped in 2010 utilizing the old-fashioned masonry canal and was renamed Nanokamachi Gotenzeki, now a place of relaxation for citizens and tourists.

On the 2nd floor of the Gotenzeki building is located the Nanokamachi branch of Itsumo-no-Tokoro.

In April 2015, it was relocated from the 1st floor of Seven Plaza to the 2nd floor here.
Located in the most downtown area of Yamagata, it is a recommended location to take a break between sightseeing, shopping or dates.

The lunch menu includes ladies’ sets and children’ menus, so it can be used in various cases such as girls’ or moms’ meetings.
What I would like you to pay particular attention to is the abundance of desserts…
There are more than 10 types of parfait alone! !! !!
Some of them are for a limited period only, so I’ll have to come back again (^-^)

One of the major features of the Nanokamachi branch is that it becomes a bar where you can drink alcohol in the evening…

There are also the Dainome and Emata branches in the city, but the Nanokamachi branch is the only one that turns into a dining bar in the evening, so it has plenty of alcohol selections.
It is also recommended for a drinking party or a second party in terms of location.

You can spend a relaxing time in a different atmosphere, a cafe during the day and a dining bar at night.

The Gotenzeki building itself is a long building starting at the main street, which Itsumo-no-Tokoro faces.

As soon as you go up the stairs, the entrance to the shop is in front of you.

3. Inside the shop

It is an open space with few obstacles and a view to the back.
The spacious space and the sunlight shining through the windows are also impressive, and it felt nostalgic and cozy even though I visited for the first time (^-^)

There are also terrace seats, overlooking the streets of Nanokamachi.

① Mentaiko spaghetti

I tried the chilled mentaiko (pollock roe) spaghetti recommended by the manager!

It looks refreshing (^-^)
Japanese-style cold soup and moderately boiled pasta are recommended for the body with a bit of summer heat.

The flavor of the perilla leaves and the bitterness of the trefoil accents make it a perfect dish in summer.
The taste of mentaiko and grated radish dissolved in soup was irresistible (≧-≦)

The pasta is served cold in summer, but it is a popular menu throughout the year because it is served hot in winter.

② Chocolate parfait

The recommended dessert is the classic chocolate parfait!
And a perfect classic is delivered!

My mouth reacts unconditionally just by seeing it being carried from a distance (^^;)

Corn flakes, whipped cream, kiwi, peaches, ice cream, cherries, etc., it can’t be anymore delicious (^-^)
After the pasta, I got a go at the parfait.
“It’s as big as a meal,” said Abe-san.

Even if you don’t have an appetite at lunch time, some people come to only eat the parfait.

6. Café that is easy to use even with accompanied by children

Itsumo-no-Tokoro is a café recommended for people with children.
In addition to chairs for them, there is also a diaper changing space in the toilet.
After all, I’m grateful that there is a children’s lunch on the menu (^-^)

7. Parking Lot

There is no dedicated parking lot for the Nanokamachi branch, but there is a partner parking lot.
If you eat and drink for 3,000 yen or more you will receive 1 hour free of charge for parking at the Nanokamachi Parking Plaza 2.

8. Message from the shop

The manager Abe-san was originally a hairdresser.
It seems that his reason for working here was that he fell in love with the logo of the shop at first sight (^-^)

“It’s a space where people of all ages can spend time chatting.
