The Mogami River Basho Line was selected many times as the top choice for Japan’s 30 Water Sightseeing Boats Selected by Professionals. 
This boat ride takes you down the Mogami river, known as the Mother of Yamagata prefecture and made famous by the haiku poems of Matsu Basho.
You can enjoy the beautiful scenery varying in each season while under the care of the master boatmen.

Boat ride: Furukuchi Port (Tozawa clan ship guard house) → Kusanagi Port (Kawa-no-Eki Mogami Gorge Kusanagi)
Duration: about 1 hour to go down 12 km.

You can enjoy a meal on board too (reservation required).
* Please call or use the fax to make the reservations for meals.
