Gotenzeki is one of Yamagata’s five weirs and has flowed through the center of Yamagata City and its citizens for over 400 years.

The Iwabuchi Tea Shop is a well-established tea house, a flagship of the prefecture that has set up a shop in the Gotenzeki area since it was founded in 1880

There is a wide range of products in the shop, from reasonably-priced to top-quality tea.

You can also enjoy anmitsu or zenzai at the Iwabuchi Café attached to the shop.
