Cherry picking, a staple of summer tourism in Yamagata, can be enjoyed from early June to early July.

Currently, VISIT YAMAGATA is introducing cherry-picking at six orchards in Kaminoyama City (Takahashi Fruit Land, Kimura Sightseeing Orchard, Makino Sightseeing Fruit Orchard, Himawari Farm, Saito Sightseeing Orchard, and Yamagata Cherry Land ).

Choose your favorite orchard and go cherry-picking.

Now, let’s get started by introducing the six orchards in Kaminoyama City.

① Takahashi Fruit Land | Reservations closed

We believe in soil preparation and use homemade fertilizer to grow rich-tasting fruit.

The orchard also has a café where you can enjoy sweets made with plenty of seasonal fruits.

After cherry-picking, please relax at the café.

You can enjoy choosing souvenirs at the shop, which has a wide selection of seasonal fruits.

② Kimura Tourist Orchard | Reservations closed

You can enjoy picking fruits throughout the seasons, including cherries, grapes, and apples.

Our staff will gladly assist you with everything from preparing items for your home to gifts, so please feel free to drop in and feel like you’ve returned to the countryside.

③ Makino Tourist Fruit Garden | Reservations closed

We grow a wide variety of cherries in our vast orchard.

For guests with pets (dogs), there is also an area reserved for pets.

The entire orchard is flat, making it a friendly place for the elderly and young children.

④ Himawari Farm｜ Reservations closed

Although it is not a large park, even small groups of guests or those with children can easily enjoy it, and as its name suggests, it has a bright and homely atmosphere.

Our souvenirs are made using only cherries picked that morning on our own farm.

⑤ Saito Tourist Orchard | Reservations closed

The garden is a spacious, flat area, so even the elderly, people with mobility issues, and people in wheelchairs can enjoy it.

Our hospitable staff will welcome you warmly and with a smile.

Enjoy a relaxing time and feel like you’re back home.

⑥ Yamagata Cherry Land (Kaminoyama Tourist Fruit Garden) | Reservations closed

It is located at the foot of a mountain, in a place rich in nature.

Everyone from small children to grandparents and pets can enjoy cherry-picking at their own pace in our spacious orchard.

We also have our own original cherries.

All orchards are open all year long during the cherry-picking period.
