Yonezawa Safflower Festival 2024

The Yonezawa Safflower Festival, which takes place throughout the month of July, will see a variety of events taking place on Saturday, July 20th, the main-event day.

There will be plenty of safflower-related events, such as a safflower experience corner, research activity booths run by high school students, and a tasting and sale of winning entries from a safflower sweets contest, as well as plenty of other events for children to enjoy.

There will also be stage events and food truck stalls.

This year, nine groups of safflower field owners are working on creating a landscape along the Yamagata Shinkansen bullet train.
At the booth, we will introduce the activities and how to utilize the blooming safflowers.
