4th Modern Architecture Yamagata Museum

The former Yoshiike Clinic in Tokamachi, Yamagata City was built in 1912.

The building was designed by Seiichiro Nakajo, a pioneer of modern Japanese architecture and a native of Yonezawa City.

Nakajo also served as design advisor for the former Yamagata Prefectural Office and Assembly Building (now Bunshokan), which was built four years after the Yoshiike Clinic.

The Yamagata Museum of Modern Architecture will be held in this historic building, the former Yoshiike Clinic.

Concerts and other events will also be held during the period.
