The land and buildings were donated by the private sector and are now used as a branch of the Yamagata Lifelong Learning Center.

Of note, the garden was redesigned by Sentaro Iwaki, a famous gardener who created gardens such as the one at the Hotel Okura, and called “Tohoku’s best”.

You can enjoy in all four seasons the gardens built around the pound using plenty of large stones from Zao and a thousand trees of 30 different types.
