This year, the Yamagata Imonikai Festival, Japan’s largest imoni stew festival, will be held on Sunday, September 15th.

Not only will there be Japan’s most famous imoni stew, cooked in a 6.5m-long pot called “Nabetaro,” but there will also be a variety of stalls selling kitchen utensils and local foods for souvenirs.

The stage events will feature a wide range of content, including Hanagasa dance, performances, and introductions to local characters.

In addition, VISIT YAMAGATA is selling tickets for both the ~ Luxury Plan ~ Imoni Lounge at Yamagata’s Imonikai Festival and the Bus to and from Sendai Station ★ Japan’s No. 1 Imonikai Festival (at the imoni teahouse) convenient and easy Yamagata tour ‼
