Leaflet of Chido Museum (Tsuruoka Hina Doll Festival)

This year 2022 is the 400th anniversary of the arrival in Shonai of the Sakai clan.

During the Edo period, hina dolls and accessories that were carried from the capital of Kyoto were carefully conserved and passed along generations of former clans, including the Sakai clan, lords of the Shonai domain.

At the 28th Tsuruoka Hina Doll Festival this year, there will be exhibitions of hina dolls that have been passed down from generation to generation in each facility and a doll-making workshop.

In addition, the “Tsuruoka Hime-sama Project” will be held to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Sakai clan.

Princess can badges will be given to those who wish at the exhibition facility on a first-come, first-served basis.
