The Tendo Cherry Blossom Festival has finally started.

The Kuratsu river, which is famous for its shidare-sakura trees, is lit up in the evening, and paper lanterns lit up the park on Mt. Maizuru.

The main event, the Human Shogi games, will be held on the 15 (Sat.) and 16 (Sun.).

It is a grand event in which participants dressed as Japanese chess pieces wearing armor move on a huge shogi board.

This year, there will be no pre-registration or entry restrictions, so anyone can see it.

(1) Elementary School Champion Division (grade 2 and above)
② Elementary school gold general division (3rd to 6th grade)
③ Elementary School Walking Division (Grade 7 and below)
④ Junior high school division Each class will be divided into qualifying rounds and the top scorers will compete in the finals.

Award
Winners of each class will receive a certificate, shield, and extra prize (book card).
2nd and 3rd places will receive a certificate and supplementary prize (book card)
Supplementary prize for 4th place (book card)
