◆ New video of Jion-ji Theater
A new video “Tradition and the Scenery of the Four Seasons” is now showing at the Jion-ji Theater (4k resolution and 240 degree-wide curved theater screen). Please enjoy the traditional events of Jionji Temple that have been passed down for hundreds of years and the images of the quaint seasonal scenes.

◆ Special exhibition “The Oe and Jion-ji”
For 400 years during the Middle Ages, Hiromoto Oe and his descendants ruled Sagae. The priests at Jion-ji Temple were designated by the Oe, and they received many paintings and craftswork throughout the years.
A number of cultural properties brought to Jion-ji Temple during that time will be displayed in this special exhibition.

◆ Monthly quiz rally
A quiz about Sagae and Jion-ji will be given, and those who answer correctly may win a prize by lottery!
In addition, if you collect the different stamps every month, you will be able to get a gift depending on how many stamps you gathered.

◆ Temple soba & temple café
A morning parfait topped with auspicious oiri candies and using plenty of Sagae’s Beni Shuho cherries will be on sale!

In addition, elementary school age children and under can participate in a 30-second sweets fishing when bringing a meal ticket stub from the Temple soba & temple café to the product sales cash register. Of course, all they will be able to take with them all the sweets fished out!
